GOT A NEW TOY... GYPSY FOR THE CRICUT MACHINE

Hi... I know it have been a couple of weeks, I haven't blog.. I that doesn't mean scrapbook is not in my mind.

Like I mention in my title... I got a new toy... Provo Craft just launch last week the new Gypsy a portable design studio for the cricut machine, is great, friendly user. I got mine at midnight when they launch the sale on HSN. You want to know more just google it... and you will see what is all about.

I love it.. I haven't been using my cricut just because it was a pain to put the paper in the mat for this piece and take it out put another color... well... that's because I have the original cricut that is the small one.. Cricut expression gives more options... but anyways I wasn't using the machine.. but I have 20 cartridges for the cricut... now with the Gypsy you could download them all in the machine and use them combine in any project without having to be switching cartridge.

Here are some pictures of the new toy and what I been playing with... I have this cartridge Paper Doll Dress up... and yes you have to dress up the doll... here I show how I arrange the paper in the mat to be able to cut all the pieces for one single doll. Love it... Because the mat is on your Gypsy screen you are able to count the squares and be sure where you putting your paper... is awesome.

SEPTEMBER CROP CLASS

Hi, I know I haven't been posting in about a month.. maybe since my last month crop group got together.. Well we did today, last month I had a total of 8 this month just 3, some of the girls had thing to do, and couldn't make it.. but that doesn't stop us from what we like to do.
Today I had Rocio, Sonia and Beatriz. Rocio was the queen of the crop, getting the usual goody bad with scrapbook stuff.
This month a choose the theme of Summer and two Happy Thanksgiving cards. .. They like them, hope you too.

IS A BOY CANVAS...

My stepdaughter's best friend Cristine is having a baby boy next month, for her baby shower invitation she used this picture, they where online invites, I save the photo and printed.
I made this Canvas for her with the line of product Imaginisce called Wild things collections, this animals are so cute..
I stamp and color de Hippo, lion and Panda with Copic markers, cut then and 3D to it. Hope she like it..

FRIENDS AND ALTERED CLIPBOARD

The other day my friend Zelena came over with her family husband, daughter and stepdaughter. When her 3 yr is around we cant work in my room because she will want to play with my stuff which I don't mind, but my scissors are sharp, she want to get more and more paper.. you know kids a that age.
Well since we couldn't stay in my room we when back inside my house.. while we were chatting there it click to me .. let do something with paper anyway, her stepdaughter which is a pre-teen and also love to learn craft, was bored.
I when back to my room pick up 3 mini clipboards, my tray of scraps of papers, scissors and Mod Podge. Well, I said let play with paper... we did give her little 3 yr old a bunch of paper and markers to get busy.

MY AUGUST CROP CLASS...

This month crop class that I give was this past weekend. The group is growing fast, again this month the class was in my house instead of my scrapbook room, no way I could fix 8 people in the room. Like every month we did 2 layouts, this time a double layout theme Vacation and two birthday cards Mickey and cupcake...
One of the ladies was here on vacation from Colombia she is the sister of Rocio. Rocio invited her to join our class so she could see what scrapbook is all about, there not doing this hobby in Colombia yet. My other friend Zelena just return from a month vacation in Colombia.. and wish we could take scrapbook over there.
Like every month a got a queen of the crop with a goodie bag, this time was Sophia.. very happy with her bag.
The theme was VACATION, i used this pages from spanish memories that I had from Puerto RIco for my layout, and the girls used a different travel theme paper for there layouts.

CHA SUPER SHOW ORLANDO SUMMER 2009

My friends finally the CHA Super Show in Orlando. Craft Hobby Association open for the first time to the public, they did it here in Florida, yuhuuu ...
I was there both days Friday July 31 and August 1st, I when by myself, the girls I invited where busy that weekend, but that doesn't stop me from attending a scrapbook show, specially since it was the first time CHA open for the public and here in Florida, just one hour away from me.
They had a lot of make and takes, sales, demonstration of new products from different company, not just scrapbook but other craft.
It was really nice.. love it.. Specially the excitement of the Provo Craft company with the Gypsy for the Cricut, they gave lots of prizes including the none release gypsy. Lots of make and take with the cricut.
There was some celebrities of the craft word like Marisa Pawelko, Crafty chica, Terri O, and others that I seen in videos but do not remember the name, maybe you will spot someone in the pictures.
While having lunch the first day, new company owner and designer Nikki Sivils sat next to me and chat a little, her products are so cute check her out at Nikkisivils.com amazing girl, her husband is very nice, very pleasant people.
There I meet a girl name Sandra that also was there by herself she like a different kind of craft but we got along very well to the point that we hang around together the next day during the show.. it was awesome..
